How to Run a Mahjong Event with Pro Tools

A practical guide to using the Pro dashboard for ticket options, attendee management, check-in, refunds, waitlists, and roster organization.

Build clear ticket options

Give each lesson or play format its own name, description, price, skill level, and capacity. Mah-Join tracks availability for each ticket separately and uses their combined capacity as the event maximum.

Use the dashboard as your event home base

The Pro dashboard brings hosted events, attendee lists, paid orders, ticket-specific waitlists, and roster contacts into one place. It is meant to replace the pile of tabs, notes, and spreadsheets that can build up before an event.

Check in players as they arrive

On event day, use attendee management to see who has paid, who is expected, and who has checked in. This keeps the host focused on the room instead of manually reconciling signups.

Edit the event without disrupting guests

Hosts can add capacity without changing existing RSVPs. Capacity cannot be reduced below seats already sold or held, and raising a price affects future buyers only.

Handle full and partial refunds

Refund a full paid RSVP to release every seat, or refund one seat from a multi-seat order while keeping the remaining RSVP active. Lowering a ticket price automatically refunds the difference to paid guests without removing them from the roster.
