Mah-Join Guides
Mah-Join Pro Payments, Refunds, and Host Payouts
How Stripe checkout, service fees, venue-based sales tax, refunds, and automatic host payouts work for Pro events.
Connect Stripe before selling seats
Complete payout setup from the Pro dashboard before publishing paid events. Stripe must confirm that charges and payouts are enabled so checkout revenue can stay connected to the correct host and event.
Checkout shows the full price breakdown
The buyer sees the ticket subtotal, Mah-Join service fee, and any calculated sales tax before paying. When tax applies, the calculation uses the event venue information supplied on the listing.
Payouts happen after the event
Eligible host proceeds are paid through the connected Stripe account after the event. Orders, refunds, and payout status remain visible together so the host does not need to reconcile separate payment screenshots.
Refund the right amount without deleting the RSVP
A host can issue a full refund, refund one seat from a multi-seat order, or lower a ticket price and automatically refund the difference. Partial refunds keep the remaining confirmed seats attached to the guest.
Know which fees are refundable
Eligible ticket value returns through Stripe. Mah-Join service fees and card processing fees are not refundable, and any refund reduces the host proceeds associated with that order.
